RookiePit Privacy Policy

RookiePit ("the App") is developed by Eric Tsai ("we", "us"). RookiePit lets you scan a sports trading card (via camera or your photo library) to identify the player and look up publicly available career and season statistics. The App does not require account creation or login.

Information We Collect and How It's Used

• Card photos — When you scan a card, the photo is sent to our backend server and forwarded to Anthropic's Claude API for image recognition (to identify the player, team, and card details), and is also used to look up that player's public statistics. We do not store your scanned photos on our servers after processing, and the App itself does not save a history of your past scans — each result is only kept on-screen until you scan again or leave the screen.
• Camera and Photo Library access — Used solely to let you take or choose a photo of a card to scan. The App does not access your camera or photo library for any other purpose, and does not browse your library — you choose exactly which photo to use.
• No account, no personal profile — The App never asks for your name, email, or any personal profile information.

Third-Party Services

• Anthropic (Claude API) — Processes the card photo you scan to identify the player and card details. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
• MLB Stats API and ESPN — Public sports statistics sources we query (by player name only, no data about you) to show career and season stats for the player identified on your card.

Data We Do Not Collect

RookiePit does not require an account, does not collect your name/email, does not use any analytics or advertising SDK, does not access your location or contacts, and does not sell your personal information.

Reference Only, Not Financial or Investment Advice

Any statistics, highlights, or AI-generated summary shown in the App are compiled from public sports data for informational purposes only. RookiePit does not provide, and nothing in the App should be understood as, investment, collecting, or financial advice.

Children's Privacy

RookiePit is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the App changes — for example, if we add advertising in the future, this policy will be updated to describe that before it ships. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

我剛入坑（RookiePit，以下稱「本 App」）由 Eric Tsai（以下稱「我們」）開發。本 App 讓你透過拍照或從相簿選擇照片來掃描運動球員卡，辨識球員身分並查詢公開的生涯與球季數據。本 App 不需要註冊帳號或登入。

我們蒐集的資訊與使用方式

• 球卡照片 — 當你掃描一張卡片時，照片會傳送至我們的後端伺服器，並轉送給 Anthropic 的 Claude API 進行影像辨識（辨識球員、球隊與卡片資訊），同時也會用來查詢該球員的公開統計數據。我們不會在伺服器上保留你掃描的照片，本 App 本身也不會儲存你過去的掃描紀錄——每次結果只會顯示在畫面上，直到你重新掃描或離開該畫面。
• 相機與相簿存取權限 — 僅用於讓你拍攝或選擇要掃描的卡片照片。本 App 不會為任何其他目的存取你的相機或相簿，也不會瀏覽你的相簿內容——你選擇哪一張照片，App 才會用到那一張。
• 不需要帳號、不建立個人檔案 — 本 App 不會要求你提供姓名、電子郵件或任何個人檔案資訊。

第三方服務

• Anthropic（Claude API） — 處理你掃描的球卡照片，辨識球員與卡片資訊。詳見 Anthropic 隱私權政策。
• MLB Stats API 與 ESPN — 我們查詢的公開運動數據來源（僅以球員名稱查詢，不涉及任何你的個人資料），用以顯示卡片上球員的生涯與球季數據。

我們不會蒐集的資訊

本 App 不需要註冊帳號，不會蒐集你的姓名／電子郵件，未使用任何分析或廣告 SDK，不會存取你的定位或聯絡人資訊，我們也不會出售你的個人資訊。

僅供參考，非財務或投資建議

App 內顯示的任何統計數據、獲獎紀錄或 AI 生成摘要，皆彙整自公開運動數據，僅供資訊參考之用。本 App 不提供、App 內任何內容也不應被理解為投資、收藏或財務建議。

兒童隱私權

本 App 並非針對 13 歲以下兒童設計，我們不會在知情的情況下蒐集兒童的個人資訊。

政策異動

本政策可能隨 App 功能異動而更新——例如，若我們未來加入廣告功能，會在上線前更新本政策說明相關內容。你在政策更新後繼續使用本 App，即表示同意更新後的內容。
