GymMayday Privacy Policy

GymMayday ("the App") is developed by Eric Tsai ("we", "us") for iOS and Android. This policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and your choices. GymMayday does not require account creation or login.

Information We Collect and How It's Used

• Photos you capture or select — When you use the camera or text search to identify gym equipment, the photo or text query is sent to our backend server and forwarded to Anthropic's Claude API solely to generate the equipment guide. Photos are not stored on our server after the request completes.
• Text search queries — Sent to our backend and Anthropic's Claude API for the same purpose as above.
• AI training plan answers — If you use "AI Suggested Training Plan", the options you choose (age range, gender, fitness goal, available days per week, experience level and preferred intensity) are sent to our backend and forwarded to Anthropic's Claude API solely to generate your plan. The generated plan may be cached on our server keyed only by the combination of options and language — not by you or your device — so identical requests can be answered without calling the AI again.
• IP address — Our backend temporarily records your IP address (keyed with the date) to enforce a daily usage limit on equipment searches and training-plan requests and to prevent abuse. This record automatically expires within about 26 hours and is not linked to any other personal information.
• Exercise demo animations — To show a demo animation for an equipment or exercise, our backend sends a standard exercise name (derived from the search result, not your photo, IP address or any personal information) to the WorkoutX exercise database and delivers the returned animation to you through our server.
• Profile and preferences you enter — Nickname, gender, age, fitness goal, coach appearance, app theme, language and weight-unit preferences are stored only in your device's local storage (UserDefaults on iOS, SharedPreferences on Android), and optionally backed up to your personal iCloud account (iOS) or Google Drive via Android Auto Backup (Android) so they survive a reinstall. This data is not sent to our server, except the training-plan options described above when you request a plan.
• Search history, workout log, saved training plan and badges — Your equipment lookup history, workout log entries (exercise, date, weight, sets, reps and notes), your most recent AI training plan, free-usage counters and achievement badge progress are stored locally on your device, and optionally backed up to your personal iCloud account (iOS) or Google Drive via Android Auto Backup (Android) so they survive a reinstall. You can clear them anytime from the History tab or in Settings, or remove them entirely by deleting the App.
• Apple Health (iOS, optional) — On iOS, if you tap "Import from Apple Health", the App asks permission to read your workouts and fetches your most recent workout (type, date, duration and calories) to prefill a workout log entry. This is read-only and processed on your device; it is saved only to your local workout log if you choose to save it, and is never sent to our server or any third party.
• Share cards — Photos you pick or take for a share card, and any face detection, beauty effects and filters applied to them, are processed entirely on your device. Nothing is uploaded unless you choose to share the finished card through your device's system share sheet (iOS or Android).
• Notifications — Reminder, streak-cheer and rest-timer notifications are scheduled locally on your device. We do not operate a push notification server and do not receive any information about them.

Advertising

GymMayday is free and supported by Google AdMob ads. The App shows banner ads on some screens (such as results, history, badges, the rest timer and your training plan). After your free daily equipment searches, or after your first 2 free AI training plans, you can optionally watch a short rewarded ad to unlock more — you only see a rewarded ad if you choose to watch one.

• To serve and measure ads, Google AdMob may collect your device's advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, or Android Advertising ID on Android), general device information (such as IP-based approximate location and diagnostics), and app usage data related to ads.
• On iOS, the first time you open the App, iOS will ask whether GymMayday may track your activity across other companies' apps and websites (App Tracking Transparency). On Android (and where required by regional privacy laws), you can manage your ad consent via the Google consent prompt or reset/delete your Advertising ID in Android Settings > Google > Ads. If you allow personalized ads, you may see more relevant ads. If you decline or opt out, GymMayday only shows non-personalized ads — every other feature of the App works exactly the same either way.

Third-Party Services

• Anthropic (Claude API) — Processes the photo/text you submit, and your training-plan options, to generate the guide or plan. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
• WorkoutX — Provides exercise demo animations. Our server sends only a standard exercise name, as described above.
• Apple (HealthKit & iCloud, iOS) — Used only if you choose to import a workout from Apple Health on iOS, and to back up your profile, history, workout log and badge data to your personal iCloud account so it survives a reinstall, governed by Apple's own privacy practices.
• Google (Android Auto Backup & Google Play Services, Android) — On Android, Android Auto Backup optionally backs up your local preferences, history, workout log and badge data to your personal Google Drive account so it survives a reinstall, governed by Google's own privacy practices.
• Cloudflare (Workers / KV) — Hosts our backend server and temporary rate-limit records.
• Google AdMob — Serves the banner and rewarded ads described above. See Google's Privacy Policy.

Data We Do Not Collect

GymMayday does not require an account, does not collect your name/email through the App itself, does not use any analytics SDK, does not send your health or workout data to our servers, and does not sell your personal information. (See "Advertising" above for the one third-party SDK the App does use, and why.)

Your Choices

You can deny camera, Apple Health (iOS) or notification permission at any time in your device's system Settings (iOS or Android); the App will simply be unable to offer the corresponding feature (photo search, health import, or reminders). You can also change your ad tracking or personalization choice at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking or Android Settings > Google > Ads, which controls whether ads shown in the App are personalized. You can clear your local search history, workout log, badges and saved training plan from Settings, or remove all locally stored data by deleting the App.

Children's Privacy

GymMayday is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the App changes. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

GymMayday（以下稱「本 App」）由 Eric Tsai（以下稱「我們」）開發，提供 iOS 與 Android 版本。本政策說明本 App 會蒐集哪些資訊、如何使用，以及你有哪些選擇。GymMayday 不需要註冊帳號或登入即可使用。

我們蒐集的資訊與使用方式

• 你拍攝或選取的照片 — 當你使用拍照或文字搜尋辨識健身器材時，照片或文字查詢內容會傳送至我們的後端伺服器，再轉送給 Anthropic 的 Claude API，僅用於產生器材使用說明。照片在請求處理完成後不會保存在我們的伺服器上。
• 文字搜尋內容 — 基於與上述相同的目的，傳送至我們的後端與 Anthropic 的 Claude API。
• AI 建議訓練計畫的填寫內容 — 當你使用「AI 建議訓練計畫」時，你選擇的選項（年齡區間、性別、健身目標、每週可運動天數、訓練經驗與偏好強度）會傳送至我們的後端，再轉送給 Anthropic 的 Claude API，僅用於產生你的訓練計畫。產生的計畫可能會以「選項組合與語言」為索引快取在我們的伺服器上（索引中不包含你本人或你的裝置），讓相同的請求不必重複呼叫 AI。
• IP 位址 — 我們的後端會暫時以「IP + 日期」為索引記錄你的 IP 位址，用來限制器材查詢與訓練計畫請求的每日使用次數、防止濫用。此紀錄約 26 小時後會自動失效，且不會與任何其他個人資訊建立關聯。
• 動作示範動畫 — 為了顯示器材或動作的示範動畫，我們的後端會把一個標準動作名稱（由查詢結果產生，不含你的照片、IP 位址或任何個人資訊）傳送給 WorkoutX 動作資料庫，並透過我們的伺服器將取得的動畫提供給你。
• 你輸入的個人化資料 — 暱稱、性別、年齡、健身目標、教練外觀、App 主題、語言與重量單位偏好，僅儲存在你裝置本機的儲存空間（iOS 為 UserDefaults，Android 為 SharedPreferences），並會選擇性備份到你個人的 iCloud 帳號（iOS）或透過 Android 自動備份功能備份至 Google 雲端硬碟（Android），以便重新安裝後還能復原。除了你要求產生訓練計畫時上述的計畫選項之外，這些資料不會傳送到我們的伺服器。
• 查詢紀錄、訓練紀錄、已儲存的訓練計畫與徽章 — 你的器材查詢紀錄、訓練紀錄（動作、日期、重量、組數、次數與心得）、最近一次的 AI 訓練計畫、免費額度計數與成就徽章進度僅儲存在裝置本機，並會選擇性備份到你個人的 iCloud 帳號（iOS）或透過 Android 自動備份功能備份至 Google 雲端硬碟（Android），以便重新安裝後還能復原。你可以隨時在「查詢紀錄」頁籤或設定裡清除，或直接刪除本 App 以完全移除。
• Apple 健康（iOS 選用） — 在 iOS 上，若你點選「從健康 App 匯入」，本 App 會請求讀取運動紀錄的權限，並取得你最近一筆運動（類型、日期、時長與卡路里）用來預先填入訓練紀錄。這是唯讀的，且在你的裝置上處理；只有在你選擇儲存時才會存進本機訓練紀錄，絕不會傳送到我們的伺服器或任何第三方。
• 分享卡片 — 你為分享卡片選取或拍攝的照片，以及套用在照片上的臉部偵測、美肌效果與濾鏡，全部都在你的裝置上處理。除非你自行透過系統分享選單（iOS 或 Android）分享做好的卡片，否則不會上傳任何內容。
• 通知 — 提醒、連續運動鼓勵與組間休息計時器的通知都是在你的裝置本機排程。我們沒有架設推播通知伺服器，也不會收到任何與通知相關的資訊。

廣告

GymMayday 免費提供，並由 Google AdMob 廣告支持。本 App 會在部分畫面（例如查詢結果、查詢紀錄、徽章、組間休息計時器與訓練計畫）顯示橫幅廣告。用完每日免費器材查詢次數，或用完前 2 次免費 AI 訓練計畫後，你可以選擇觀看一段簡短的獎勵廣告來解鎖更多——只有在你選擇觀看時，才會看到獎勵廣告。

• 為了投放與衡量廣告成效，Google AdMob 可能會蒐集你裝置的廣告識別碼（iOS 為 IDFA，Android 為 Android 廣告 ID）、一般裝置資訊（例如依 IP 推算的粗略位置與診斷資訊），以及與廣告相關的 App 使用資料。
• 在 iOS 上，你第一次開啟本 App 時，系統會詢問是否允許 GymMayday 追蹤你在其他公司 App 與網站上的活動（App 追蹤透明度）。在 Android 上（或適用地區隱私法規要求時），你可以透過 Google 同意視窗管理廣告偏好，或至 Android「設定」>「Google」>「廣告」重設或刪除廣告 ID。若你允許個人化廣告，可能會看到較相關的廣告；若你拒絕或選擇退出，GymMayday 僅會顯示非個人化廣告——不論你的選擇為何，App 其他所有功能都完全相同、不受影響。

第三方服務

• Anthropic（Claude API） — 處理你提交的照片/文字與訓練計畫選項，以產生使用說明或訓練計畫。詳見 Anthropic 隱私權政策。
• WorkoutX — 提供動作示範動畫。我們的伺服器僅傳送標準動作名稱，詳見上方說明。
• Apple（HealthKit 與 iCloud，iOS） — 僅在你於 iOS 選擇從 Apple 健康匯入運動時使用，以及用於將你的個人化資料、查詢紀錄、訓練紀錄與徽章備份到你個人的 iCloud 帳號以便重新安裝後復原，受 Apple 自身的隱私權規範管理。
• Google（Android 自動備份與 Google Play 服務，Android） — 在 Android 上，Android 自動備份功能會選擇性將你的本機偏好設定、查詢紀錄、訓練紀錄與徽章備份到你個人的 Google 雲端硬碟帳號以便重新安裝後復原，受 Google 自身的隱私權規範管理。
• Cloudflare（Workers / KV） — 用於架設我們的後端伺服器與暫存的使用次數限制紀錄。
• Google AdMob — 提供上述的橫幅與獎勵廣告服務。詳見 Google 隱私權政策。

我們不會蒐集的資訊

GymMayday 不需要註冊帳號，本 App 本身不會蒐集你的姓名/電子郵件，未使用任何分析（analytics）SDK，不會把你的健康或訓練資料傳送到我們的伺服器，我們也不會出售你的個人資訊。（本 App 唯一使用的第三方 SDK 是廣告用途，詳見上方「廣告」段落。）

你的選擇

你可以隨時在裝置的系統設定（iOS 或 Android）中關閉相機、Apple 健康（iOS）或通知權限，本 App 屆時將無法提供對應功能（拍照搜尋、健康匯入，或提醒通知）。你也可以隨時在 iOS「設定」>「隱私權與安全性」>「追蹤」或 Android「設定」>「Google」>「廣告」中變更你的廣告追蹤與個人化選擇，這會決定 App 內顯示的廣告是否個人化。你可以在設定中清除本機查詢紀錄、訓練紀錄、徽章與已儲存的訓練計畫，或刪除本 App 以移除所有本機儲存的資料。

兒童隱私權

GymMayday 並非針對 13 歲以下兒童設計，我們不會在知情的情況下蒐集兒童的個人資訊。

政策異動

本政策可能隨 App 功能異動而更新。你在政策更新後繼續使用本 App，即表示同意更新後的內容。
